Things that Require the Special Permission of the Board
The Board is charged by the Protective Covenants with regulating various activities within the Association.

- Fireworks Use of fireworks is governed by Michigan law as well as the CSA Protective Covenants. According to Michigan law, fireworks are permitted only on one’s own personal property and only on New Year’s Eve; the Saturday and Sunday preceding Memorial Day, June 29 through July 4; July 5 (if it is a Friday or Saturday), and the Saturday and Sunday preceding Labor Day. Michigan law prohibits the lighting of fireworks by any person under the influence of any controlled substance, including alcohol. Michigan law also prohibits the ignition of fireworks if the there is a high degree of fire danger according to the state DEQ (in other words, if the county is orange on the map). Fireworks are not permitted at any time on the CSA Beach, roadways, or park except with the Board’s permission. Ask by using the Contact Us form.

- Parking at the Beach Accesses—Sec. 8. Parking while using the beach is by permit, which members can obtain by contacting any Board member. Ask by using the Contact Us form.
