The annual household hazardous waste collection is scheduled for August 21 at the Hart Department of Public Works located at 1010 State Street in Hart. Residents of Oceana County have the opportunity to drop off unused or outdated cleaners, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, electronics, grease, oil, varnishes, batteries, and more. This program helps protect the state's natural resources and prevents pollution by ensuring safe disposal of hazardous waste. A suggested minimum donation of $10 will be requested upon entry.
