The MCD will be surveying Cobmoosa trees for HWA for those private owners who have signed up by this deadline. This will happen this year in late fall or early winter. For those who then choose to contract for their services, MCD will be treating trees between May and October 2023.
So, here’s where we stand:
- Cobmoosa Shores has approximately 230 landowners. Of this number 65 have already signed up for MCD to survey their property. This is about 30% of Cobmoosa residents. There are at least an additional 13 landowners who have opted to treat their own trees.
- There are 376 lots in Cobmoosa. Counting those who are treating their own trees and those who have signed up with MCD, we have covered 205 lots, which is more than half of the total number.
- These numbers do not take into account those lots which have no hemlocks on them.
