    Round 2 Barberry Pull

Round 2 of the Barberry Pull remains scheduled for Monday, November 10 starting at 2 pm; meet at the Ottawattimie, Huron, and Shawbacoung intersection as noted in the previous email blast.

HOWEVER, IF the weather is particularly nasty come Monday afternoon (pouring rain or snowing inches), we will postpone the pull until Tuesday, Nov 11, 2025 starting at 2 pm EST.

Dress for the weather. Wear leather gloves and long pants; bring clippers, a shovel and/or some sort of digging tool, and black garbage bags or large tarps. We will collect these invasive shrubs into bags or gather them in driveways under tarps until they are dried out and dead or when we can get them burned. This yard waste should not be hauled and dumped somewhere because the shrubs can re-root and the seeds can fall to the ground and start new plants next spring.

We will only be clearing these invasive shrubs from Cobmoosa Association property, but folks can come just to learn what to look for in their own yards if they don’t have time to help go up and down the streets.

Thank you everyone for your support and enthusiasm!!!
