- The Nature Blog: Each month a different plant or animal will be described. The goal of this blog "is to educate, engage, and captivate readers. It is through learning and understanding our natural surroundings that we gain a sense of awe and responsibility to be good stewards of the land.” In October the featured animal was the Cerulean Warbler. July’s entry talked about my favorite plant, the Jack-in-the-Pulpit.
- Invasive Species Management: Did you know that the Oceana Conservation District will "help local landowners manage invasive species infestations on their land and waters?” In addition the OCD can provide assistance to "help identify mysterious plants, insects, tree diseases, critters, etc.” The OCD also has a crew that is available to help manage invasive species on private lands.
- Recycling Programs: Did you know that the third Saturday in August is the annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection day in Hart? This page describes that program and tells you what can and cannot be disposed of at the annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection location.
