Cobmoosa Shores Association began in the 1960s. Much of its history is in the memories of our members. The Board is establishing a History Committee to collect those memories/facts. Eventually the collected history will be added to the CSA website allowing members to read the history and also to download it if desired.

The OCD is super excited to announce that we are kicking off a citizen science program this spring! Citizen science is the collection and analysis of data relating to the natural world by members of the general public, typically as part of a collaborative project with professional scientists. The OCD needs your help to document the amphibians and reptiles that you see and hear in Oceana County and to submit observations to the Michigan Herp Atlas. An indoor and outdoor training will take place on Saturday, April 27. Volunteer citizen scientists will learn how to identify target species, how to conduct frog and toad surveys, and how to report data. David Mifsud, who administers the Michigan Herp Atlas, will provide the training and support that is needed to get this off the ground! Space is limited for this program. Please call (231) 861-5600 or email Suzie Knoll at [email protected] to register! |
